The Qatari Military attache

The Qatari Military attache to Amman is opened in line with deepening the bilateral relations between both States in different fields, especially the military field which witnesses a notable increasing development under auspices of H.H. Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al-Thani, the beloved Emir of the State of Qatar and his brother, HM King Abdullah Bin Al-Hussein, King of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, may Allah protect both of them.

Formation

The Qatari Military attache to Amman is formed at the Embassy premises in Amman on 23/10/2016.

Duties and Objectives

  • Following-up all aspects of the Qatari-Jordanian military cooperation in relation to Ground, Marine and Air Forces, Emiri Guard, Ministry of Interior, and security agencies.
  • Coordination with the Jordanian Joint Chiefs of Staff in relation to researchers, courses, lectures, seminars, conferences, exercises and visits of military delegations from and to the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.
  • Following-up the affairs of all the delegate students to the Jordanian universities, academies, military faculties and the Jordanian military training schools and institutes.
  • Following-up all financial claims of the Qatari and Jordanian sides in respect of all courses and any other financial claims.
  • Attending the military summaries and field visits by the Jordanian Joint Chiefs of Staff to the military attaché in Jordan.
  • Participation in the meetings of the Military Bilateral Cooperation Committee between both states and following its decisions.
  • Participation in the official meetings held among the Qatari military delegations visiting Jordan.
  • Strengthening the Qatari military relations with the Jordanian side and to outlook any new horizons for cooperation, and maintaining the best level of the Qatari-Jordanian cooperation so as to achieve inspirations of the General Command of the Qatari Armed Forces.
